Oh my dear lisa,
DO you read the book of mormon bible?? I understand that you are not a religious person, however, you say that you read the Bible and that all people go to heaven. PLEASE show me where this is because i consider myself to be fairly knowledgable when it comes to the scriptures and i am certian that NOwhere does it say that all go to heaven. Also, no one was pushed up to the front. The opportunity was presented to be accepted or declined. Its easy to just say no, or no thank you if you have manners.

Yes you are correct in that the cultish mormons follow a different tune. I was not trying to imply that they are the same i was just trying to say that the bible does not say all people go to heaven. There is biblical backup that says that if you are not saved you are doomed for eternal damnation. I am not preaching to you unless you want me to preach and if you do let me know it would not be my first time. I know that you went to mourn and celebrate a friends life, but you were fully aware of who was leading this service and where this service was taking place. It is ignorant to not expect talk of eternal life to take place. Your talk of different ways of interpreting the bible is very important. I challenge you to contact your friends providing you this information. Read into the scriptures in which they have interpreted to mean everyone goes to heaven, but do not close the good book prematurely. Very often someone will read a passage to suit their wants and needs without finding the true meaning of what is written. Not trying to be ( ... )

YES, people WERE pushed. this woman tried to drag me out of my seat and bring me to the alter. I told her WITH manners, that I was saved, I belive in the lord jesus christ, and I wished to remain in my seat to continue greiving for my lost friend. She still proceeded to tactlessly prod me to follow her to the alter. After realizing, I wouldn't move, she then grabbed both of my friends (which were holding my own mother's and friends' hands prior to this) and then prayed for me to be saved (even though I'd already told her I was). I do not understand how you can possibly say no one was "pushed" up there....wether it was physically or verbally, I was very pushed.

Ok, first of all whoever is leaving these comments can go fuck themselves. I was upset because the funeral was turned into a mockery. I am not saying the funeral sucked, i am saying that i was uncomfortable and upset at the fact that at the end of the funeral was turned into a rally for god. You dont know everything and all your doing is making everyone feel bad, so stop commenting on my journal or i will take away anonamous posting.

one: I went to countless religious events with Steve (none of which he went to by choice) and when we weren't poking fun at what was being said, he could be found listening to music, writing, and otherwise ignoring everyone.

two: to insult the funeral is not to insult Steve, which is why I'm assuming you think it's terrible to do.

Just because we were in a funeral labeled as "christian" does not mean that those conducting the funeral can do no wrong. It was wrong to humiliate Steve's loved ones and friends by guilt-tripping them and embarassing them into becoming "saved". Those who did become "saved" did so merely so they could see Steve again...not because they believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, and wished to be reunited with him in the afterlife (which is what being saved is all about). And furthermore...do you thik it's really appropriate that if you're lecturing all of us on the nature of good christian people, you should really be calling us all "bastards" and using the word "fucking" in your comments? Nice christian example...

oh, and furthermore. One of the reasons Steve and I broke up was because he WASN'T very religious. If you knew him like his close friends (Alex icouldbeasleep, Brian, Chris ilovecrayons, Martinambling, Lisa notknowingwhere.
I can't believe you would talk about things you obviously know nothing about.
