Opera and Con

I am currently sitting in my grandparents' house, with my friend behind me, ranting about something on the phone, to her friend in Maine. I think it's something having left her clothing there. I'm not sure.
I'm currently here, because we are going to see Die Fledermaus tomorrow night. This should be interesting. We finally got housing, and we're going to be living together in Grad next year. If we don't kill each other. We've survived a lack of kitchen accross the hall from each other, see if we can survive sharing a kitchen. I guess that's the real test.
Apparently the Grad walls are paper thin . . .
I'm looking forward to seeing the opera tomorrow night. I haven't seen this one in several years.
hmm . . . I'm listening to her litany of traffic . . . difficulties. And I'm considering driving from Kentucky with this girl. Yes, I am nuts, thank you for asking.
Last weekend was Intercon. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, it's a LARP con. It was amazing. I played in a game called "Young Wizards in Love". The best quote from the weekend: "I attack the scary icky blackness! How many traits does it have?" "Well, it's scary, it's icky, and it's black".
It also had a gamer dance. Now, let me clarify, this is not just a dance with a lot of gamers. This was a dance run for and by gamers. It included TMBG, Time Warp, and a song from a musical about chess. There were people square dancing. It was horrifying . . . but so wonderful.
And I met someone who has heard of the Berrymans!
Speaking of which, he still has my dragon lighter. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to meet up with him again. Poor me.
And in about a week and a half, I'm home for Pesach break, and, hopefully, at least part of Norwescon. Speaking of which, if anyone has somewhere (floor space fine) John and I could crash for a night at con, it would be appreciated.
