It has been a weird and creepy day in Seattle with four people killed in a coffee/breakfast place in the U District this morning followed by a woman killed on First Hill within an hour of the first shooting, it all being guns today. Today, Eli and I wandered over to Schmitz Park in the rain because, some days, you just want to get out of the house and go for a walk. It was a fine time though we wandered down one street I'd never been on before and the houses, well, they gave me the wiggins. It's been a busy weekend for photographing. Friday evening's Figgy Pudding, which is the fundraising caroling extravaganza in downtown Seattle each holiday season, was followed by a mess of birds, mostly thumbprints, mostly in the magnolia, on Saturday.
