You know, before I read the entire first part of your post, I saw the picture. I was going to tell you what cute little figurines you made LOL. But um...never mind.

There's a Farmers Market I think monthly in the little township where I work. I should ask R when it is. I wouldn't mind getting some fresh produce, especially now.

The ARE cute figures! LOL
And they were originally all painted, before they were buried for hundreds of years.

Yes, going to a Farmers' Market can be a great place to get stuff that is really fresh and cheap. Ours here has a huge range of fruits and veggies, all for 1/2 (some times a 1/3) of what they cost in the grocery store (where things are often trucked across the country instead of locally grown).

I'm disappointed now that I got rid of my broccoli icon, because this would be a good time to use it! LOL

I'm certainly going to ask R tomorrow then. There's a place close by to me that sells fresh produce too all trucked in every day, but they're expensive! More so than the grocery store.

More expensive? That is surprising... The whole point is that you are cutting out the middle man (usually a LOT of middle men) and buying directly from the grower, who won't charge you more than they charge to the distributer who sells to the corporations who package the food for the super markets.

A lot of restaurants go to local Farmers' Markets because they can get fresh local produce for less, and that increases their profit at the restaurant.

ooh, the burial figures are lovely.

I love Donna, too. she is fantastic. I dunno if she replaces Rose in my mind yet, as #1 (I think that's because I really related to Rose.) but I do love her. I can't wait for next week!!!!

Ash gave me some Dresden Files audio books, I haven't listened to them yet, as I'm working my way through Harry Potter read by Stephen Fry, but I'm on book 7, so they'll be next!

Oh I long to hear the HP books read by Stephen Fry! I really have to search for those...

And I know you'll adore the Dresden books read by Spike James Marsters! Have you read any of them yet? Jim Butcher just keeps getting better and better IMO.

I haven't ready any Jim butcher books yet. I did see the first few eps of The Dresden Files and thought it was interesting, but I'm lazy about TV (except Doctor Who and Torchwood. And I really miss Pushing Daisies.)

Oh no, you have to forget every single thing from the TV show! They altered the characters too much, not to mention altering the whole canon story arc, and it was kind of a failure.... So just wipe your memory and start fresh w/the books!

And I forgot to mention about my Donna love... see I identify 100% w/Donna, and her Super Office Temp Superpowers! LOL
