As much as it's awful that my home state is trying to put a same-sex marriage ban amendment vote on the 2012 ballot, I'm happy that there are some voices of reason who are speaking out against this nonsense and bigotry. People like this man. He's so eloquent and so polite while making wonderful points. He makes me proud to be a Minnesotan.

So Ken, my caretaker boss, came by this morning. He came by to inform us that the building owners had sold ALL the properties on this block. WHAAAAA? Last night Erik and I went over to the old apartment and cleaned it. Oh how we cleaned it. From top to bottom, all the rooms. It took 4 hours, but by the time we were done it was looking a lot better than it had. I know that we won't get our entire deposit back, but I hope that we get a majority of it at least. I learned how to sheet rock yesterday. I kind of sucked at it, but I'm improving bit by bit. I also bruised up my knuckle while doing it, which hurts today, but I can handle it. - We're kind of sort of moved in! We haven't brought over a few miscellaneous things, but most of our furniture is moved and in place. I'm thrilled, to say the very least.
