Oh GREAT
So Ken, my caretaker boss, came by this morning. He came by to inform us that the building owners had sold ALL the properties on this block. WHAAAAA? There was no indication that this was going to happen, man! I guess they're going to unload it by the end of the month... Which means that there is a DISTINCT possibility that we are going to have to pack up and move. After all, if the new peeps won't give us a deal on caretaking/on the rent, we won't be able to afford to live here anymore.
But this MIGHT be a blessing in disguise. After all, if we could find a new place within our budget WITHOUT having to caretake, that would be basically awesome. And I've found a couple of places in the Highland Park neighborhood that might fit that bill. That are CHEAPER than our present place AND roughly the same size. So hey, this might not be so bad. We're going to wait and see what the new owners say, but I might just try and convince Erik to let us move anyway. It would be a pain in the ass to have to move again (we'd probably want to be out of here by the end of May, I would think), but anything that saves money is okay in MY book.
So that's something to think about. For now I'm going out to lunch with my Mom before going to work. Working til 10 tonight, oh boy.
