I've spent four weeks...or maybe 5? Anyway, bloody ages, making something brand new which looks old. Something light which looks heavy. Something fake that looks real. All of that.

And once we've finished (next week) we'll send it off to the USA, upstate New York, to a private collection.

I was going to write about our holiday (it was brilliant!! Very relaxing, with enough things to do to keep us busy, but not too much, as we just wanted to chill out.)

But instead, I'm just going to talk about pain.

What do I even pack? It needs to be everything I'll need, nothing I won't need, enough stuff to stop me being bored, but also nothing just in case we go out every night and blow our £30 daily expenses (except we don't have £30 daily expenses, because the boss didn't give us enough money for that.)

Had my stitches out today. All went fine. Pretty fast and mainly painless. She couldn't believe the size of the suture material used. She said she'd never seen stitches that were so big in someone's head! She had to saw through them. Said it was like cutting anchor chain. heh ( Read more... )

So my day started nicely - lie in with Jojo, some toast for breakfast, dossing about checking my email etc. Lovely.

And then, at about ten, we headed into town, for the dreaded CASH visit (Contraception and Sexual Health). Go there just in time, waited a very short while in the waiting room, then headed in.
( TMI about shoving things into your womb, and not TMI about lovely new mobile phone. )

It's very odd, but last week, Jojo went to work for three days. Might not seem like much, but he's been off sick for 6 months now ( Read more... )
