I was going to write about our holiday (it was brilliant!! Very relaxing, with enough things to do to keep us busy, but not too much, as we just wanted to chill out.)

But instead, I'm just going to talk about pain.

Had my stitches out today. All went fine. Pretty fast and mainly painless. She couldn't believe the size of the suture material used. She said she'd never seen stitches that were so big in someone's head! She had to saw through them. Said it was like cutting anchor chain. heh ( Read more... )

So, the coil. The lovely coil.

Having got over (and nearly forgotten) the AMAZING pain of having it put in...I do love it. No problems since. Not even cramping.

And now I'm having my first period in....YEARSSSSS. (12?) Yay! Yay because...well, hormone free!

Boooooo because ICK! I haven't missed these. They do say the coil can make periods heavier, but ( Read more... )

So my day started nicely - lie in with Jojo, some toast for breakfast, dossing about checking my email etc. Lovely.

And then, at about ten, we headed into town, for the dreaded CASH visit (Contraception and Sexual Health). Go there just in time, waited a very short while in the waiting room, then headed in.
( TMI about shoving things into your womb, and not TMI about lovely new mobile phone. )

Having the coil fitted tomorrow, if all goes well.

Am pretty scared.

Am off work. Have that sort of sore-throat-feel-like-crap-headachey-achey-shaky-shivery thing going on. But having slept for ten hours (my normal sleep time is between 5 and 6) I do feel loads better. Which is just as well as the CASH clinic called to say they fucked up one of my tests last week, but if I could pop in today everything will be fine ( Read more... )
