We wondered why those young people were in such a big hurry on Tuesday when we saw them near that old homestead site on the Marion Brooks loop trail and yesterday morning there was an article in the paper about a race that they were in to bike, hike and canoe around that area.

Rossy and I were driving back from town this morning and decided to go down the little dirt road where there was a recent crash that killed one of his fellow students. Rossy knew of him as a classmate but wasn't close to him. Only 15 years old - he would have turned 16 next week.

10 Would you rather be the funniest person in the room or the smartest?Smartest. To be the funniest you would have to have everyone's eyes on you and I would not like that. In going through old stuff in the basement I found a manila envelope with some cool drawings. I think they were done by my daughter Chloe but in so many ways they look like my style - though not exactly. It is weird looking at them - like she channeled me somehow.
