Here's the face of someone who has just heard that they need cataract surgery. So I didn't need to pick out new glasses yesterday because I will need to get the cataracts fixed before I can get a new glasses prescription anyway. Next, the appointment with the surgeon who will do it is in November.

During the night I had a charley horse that woke me up. I remembered that Dave had told me about a charley horse fix that his friend Ed Fish (not his real name) uses: he eats a spoonful of mustard when he gets a charley horse and it goes away instantly. He carries packets of mustard wherever he goes. I tried it last night and yes, it works! Instantly. I did drink some extra water too after that because I was thinking that maybe the charley horse was caused by dehydration in the first place. I woke up this morning with a bad headache, in my eyes. After drinking my morning coffee it's going away. Stuffy, runny nose this morning too. Though I don't feel "sick". We went to the funeral home for the viewing of Dave's friend Don last night and hugged a few people. No masks. I've been having a stuffy nose lately though anyway - I think it's the change of the season. We'll see...

I promised I'd make a couple silver bracelets for Candy to give to her friend in Massachusetts. She's leaving on Tuesday to go there. Oh, how I wish I hadn't promised that. I really should get busy today and work on them. Time is running out.

I heard from Laurie yesterday and Kathy and Pete are fine. No damage to the house, except for some screens damaged on the back porch. They are still waiting for the electric to come back on.

Even though I should be working on silver bracelets this morning I really want to go on a hike instead and I think I will. I just need a couple hours for the bracelets - I can fit that in somehow this weekend...
