Easter was loverly. Jimmy agreed to bring the kids up to my sister's by himself, (though he did ask me to set out the girls' Easter dresses and all accessories the night before). The holidays were mostly good. I stayed out entirely too late present-shopping on Saturday night, though, and it messed me up almost all day on Sunday. As a result, I was a little out of sync once Christmas Day actually hit. I still feel a bit like that was the dress rehearsal and the real thing should still be on the horizon. Turkey Day went swimmingly. It actually went far better than I might have expected. There were precisely the number of people who would comfortably fit in my house. Computer's been broken for what, a month? And we currently have no daycare, (long story), which means I take the kids to school, keeping the littlest one, then go back at 11:30 a.m. to get Rachel, 2:30 p.m. to get James, and 3:30 p.m. for Alex, who is on an extended day program. My aunt and uncle are in town for the holidays. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. It's good because they take some of the heat off of me and Ma when it comes for caring for Nana.
