I opened my workspace in the knowledge base I'm working on and read one of the article titles as "How to Ruin Reports".

It was, of course, Run, not Ruin...

At my work, there is a whiteboard where people write down things that they need. It's how I got my trackball mouse, for instance. Today, I walked past it and saw:

3' - 4' LIGHTSABERS

Knowing that it couldn't possibly have actually said that, I looked again and noted that it actually said "Lightning cables".

Apparently, my dyslexia (mild as it is) gets worse when I'm tired or in pain. The last couple of rehearsals with caprine, I was both. (Fortunately, singing usually helps both issues-which means I should sing more, huh ( Read more... )

Had to blink a few times to realize that "coconut" was actually "account".

I was walking past one of the offices here at work earlier today when I saw a sticker on the window that I would have sworn said:

CRAPPY
SKATEBOARDS

After I blinked a couple of times, I was able to accurately read the somewhat confusing typeface and discovered that it actually said:

GRAVITY
SKATEBOARDS

The other day, I was playing Star Wars: The Old Republic. During one mission, I had to battle my way through a group of enemies with the designation "Thul Battler".

I kept reading "Thul Butler"...

I was shopping in Target the other day and I could have sworn I saw a sign that said:

GIRLS
Ninjas
Of course, the second line was actually "Niñas"...

Yesterday, when I was playing Skyrim, I was looting a chest. When the chest's contents popped up, I thought for a second that it read thusly:

Amethyst
Flawless Garnet
Flawless Sapphire
Iron Sword
Eben Brooks

I had to blink a couple of times before I realized that the last item was "Elven Boots".

1. The other day, I was driving to my sweetie's place and happened to pass one of the "Amber Alert" signs which declared:

   ...except, of course, that it really said "REPORT", not "EXPORT".
