I finally finished reading the book Outlander just hours before the Book Club gathering. After everyone went home tonight there was still a little bit of daylight left so I headed down the road to Robinson Preserve for a quick walk.

The sun was going down pretty quickly, but what really got my attention almost as soon as I got out of the car were the dark clouds to the east.

It’s still quiet here. They have closed down some schools, and I heard there was mandatory evacuation of mobile homes. Sometime before daybreak tomorrow it should be here, if it’s going to be here. According to reports, it has just reached Miami, but has shown no signs of strengthening. I’m sure we’ll at least get some heavy rains and winds ( Read more... )
