It's my birthday!

I woke up at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep cause I had the fidgits. I am hungry, and I blame Murakami!

I totally wanted to open the present that came from my parents, and it is my birthday and I am a grown-up so who's going to stop me? But I thought it reflected poorly on my self-control to unwrap presents before dawn.

When I got to work today, the giant plastic moose from the Christmas party - which I had squealed over when events bought it - was sitting on my chair with a note saying that the 'Birthday Reindeer' was visiting a day early.

I work with nice people. :)

I took my results for Chinese in to uni three weeks ago. They said, 'sure, cool, you'll get your letter of completion' within two weeks. It did not come. I went to talk to them. 'Oh, we must have lost the paperwork, we'll sort it out.' But they've just unenrolled me from Chinese. Why???? It was approved at the beginning of semester! What are they ( Read more... )

Whenever I have to get up really early, I just end up not sleeping properly at all. So I dozed from 10:15pm to 3:45am and then got up. It is raining today, but it didn't rain too much on us while camping. Only a little, and mostly while we were sleeping on Saturday night so that was all good. I have decided that camping is okay.
