Christmas Parades
Well this weekend was it. The weekend that I participated in two Christmas parades with the 501st Southern Outpost. I was Darth Sidious, aka the Emperor. I had a blast and it was great to hang out with the folks and brighten some people's weekends and get them in the Christmas spirit.
Saturday by far was my favorite of the two parades. We had 67 people in costume not counting kids or handlers. It was an ordeal getting everyone in order and marching, but it turned out well. Here is a pic of the group after the parade.
Todd was gracious enough to come and film the whole thing, so after it is edited etc. I will post a video of the parade.
Sunday the group was about 25 or 30 people but we still had a great time. We did the parade at triple time, but fun was still had by all.
I can't wait until next year's parades.
