Just another big update

Well I haven't posted anything of substance lately, and I am sure that this entry will keep that streak running. It has been nice this week not having to be sewing a costume or making a prop of some sort, but I am ready to start some new costumes. I want to get the ESB Emperor done so that I can submit it for 501st membership. I need to get the robe made in black, some different boots, and then figure out the correct makeup. I will hopefully also be able to get some snow trooper armor, or maybe an imperial guard costume started. I think there is a prop party this Tuesday when I believe that I am going to make a force pike for the hell of it. I have done some research on it, and I think that it can be made for 20-30 dollars which due to the time of the year, an inexpensive prop is a good prop. I am going to go look for stuff at goodwill and salvation army on Tuesday morning to see if they have anything there that can be converted into the prop to cut the cost down even more.

I saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and I have to say that it is one of the best movies that I have seen in a while. The visuals were amazing, they stayed true to the book, and the soundtrack quickly moved to the number one playlist in the ipod and cd in the changer in the car. This is only the second soundtrack that I have by Harry Gregson Williams, but he is quickly growing on me. I need to look and see what else he has done. I also purchased the soundtrack for Memoirs of a Geisha. The movie is not out yet, but I looked at the cover and this is what I saw. John Williams composed and directed, and the soloist listed on the front cover are Yo-Yo Ma, and Itzhak Perlman. With names like that, it is hard to go wrong, and I have to say that I was not disappointed.

I made some modifications to the extra bedroom at the house the other day and made it into a project/craft type room. I added some shelves onto the wall, and thanks to LJ was able to get a 6 foot folding plastic banquet style table for 20 bucks. I now have a place where I can have the airbrush, tools, and sewing machine setup and not take over the living room. Here is a picture of what it looks like, well kinda looks like. There is much more on the shelves now.

Chris got his Master degree in music yesterday. Leave him some congrats on his LJ at trump321 even though he never updates it.

I will be able to get to Atlanta for Christmas this year, so that will be nice, although it would be nice to go back to Texas since I haven't been back there in a couple of years now. Hopefully I will have a chance to get back there soon.

I am going to Cheesecake Factory tomorrow with some of the HP_Nashville folks, so I will finally get to see what all of the fuss is about. As for now, I need to get ready to go to work. Second to last Saturday before Christmas. I am sure that it will be hell today. Cheers.
