June 12 is the Independence Day celebration of the Philippines. I remember last year, when I had my Independence Day(s) of sorts; only, technically, those days fell on National Heroes' Day. But I digress.

Last week, my Mom went on a (official) trip to South Korea for a cosmetics expo. She stayed there for several days and when she came home, her sentiments were the same as mine when I came back from my not-long-enough trip to South Korea last March: "I WISH WE HAD A LONGER STAY!"

Trip is officially over (DAMN THAT WAS RUTHLESSLY QUICK) but won't be forgotten for a long time yet. Whenever I go anywhere, it's the little anecdotes that stand out because they're what makes up the sum of the whole.
