The season turns, and winter comes closer. The weather has turned colder and snow flurries are pedicted for the next few days. I am wearing the first turtleneck of the season. I had to pull out a heavier coat this morning (a tan duster-y sort of thing that I affectionatly call my “browncoat” ;-) . The good news is that the coat buttons more easily than it did last winter.
I really started feeling the lack of light last week, so I installed full-spectrum plant grow lights in strategic places. I have one shining above my desk at work, one in the living room, and one my exercise space. They appear to be helping lift my mood, and I’m able to get through an evening without falling asleep at 7pm.
I am still finding it difficult to wake up in the mornings. When it looks like still dark at 6am, I just want to roll over and sleep for several more hours. I have wanted a
dawn simulator for years; this may just be the year I break down and buy one.
A flock of geese flew overhead in a perfect V this morning. Soon they will be all gone from Ohio, and winter will be upon us.
