Yay we survived the trip to Hong Kong!

Too many shops, too little time, for me. Other than that, it's a great trip ;)

The boy took traveling really well. Really really relieved about this.

The flight there was a breeze cos he slept most of the time. I was initially very worried that he would cry on the flight. The take-off and landing were my worst ( Read more... )

Packing for a weeklong trip to hong kong in summer with a baby is something like packing for a two week trip to Europe in the winter for the two us. His stuff takes up the space of a huge luggage and it's not even complete yet!

If we were looking for a place to retire, Calella de Palafrugell would be one of the places which would be seriously considered. It's quiet, has lovely weather and look at that view, what else would one need? Maybe cos we were there quite close to winter, the place was exremely peaceful. Apparently most of the houses there are summer houses!

We're back from the land of tapas, flemenco and too-much-smoking! Yea, the Spainards smoke A LOT, it's extremely common to see men and women having a cigratte on hand, it's ok for them to smoke IN most restaurants. So it's really hard to avoid to breathe in "second hand" smoke :(

Scams may sound quite serious or maybe exaggerated. So, we arrived back home from Beijing early this morning.

This trip opened our eyes to the cultural and political centre of China. The Chinese, especially those from Beijing are really patriotic - every one of them is really proud of China's achievements. And I am impressed with how deeply rooted in the chinese culture these people living in ( Read more... )

We got news of major changes at work today - some parts expected, others not so. I'm not really sure what to feel but I am sure that the dynamics at the workplace will change.
