It took 18 hours total to install and less than four hours to disassemble.

Seven flights of stairs worth of white ceramic tiles. This project has been very time consuming, but incredibly rewarding. I am pleased with the result, and have received a huge amount of positive feedback, which has made it all worth it. And then I found out that I could ( Read more... )

As of 4:30 this morning, my installation is complete, and looks exactly how I wanted it to. I am in the midst of getting video footage and pictures and loading them onto my computer. I wish my video skills weren't so shaky ( Read more... )

I just got my installation approved by the building manager - and I set up a test segment this morning and am very pleased with how it turned out! This is exactly what I had pictured - and it turns out that the different size tiles do produce different pitches, and they make a dull sort of clinking sound like those bamboo chime things.

We had a critique in life drawing today, on a homework assignment in which I was entirely frustrated of my results. I chose a paper that was too dark for it to make sense, and the picture I was doing was entirely uninteresting in the way that I was doing it.
