Unfortunately, the news on my grant application wasn't good. My score got slightly worse. Not significantly, but enough to probably kill its chances. So, three years of work bites the dust. I'm still waiting to get the review sheets, so I can at least see what the reviewers had in mind ( Read more... )

The committee starts meeting... NOW!!!

This is it. My future in Pittsburgh all depends on what an NIMH review committee decides about my grant this afternoon.

Oy. Major angst going on here. The latest submission of my NIH grant will be reviewed next week, and I just heard that they raised the bar for funding yet again. Last cycle, they only funded K-award applications up to 150, down from 155. (Lower is better.) Mine got a 160 on the previous submission, missing the cutoff by 5 points. What's gonna ( Read more... )
