I followed a link in someone's post asking for knitting help. (I couldn't help them but I was interested in their pattern) This led me to discover that the V&A has posted some
knitting patterns from the 1940s. Some of them are very cool too. I shall add them to my never ending list of someday projects. Free patterns are the best for this 8->, and electronic ones are very good as they don't clutter the house either.
In other news, my phone still doesn't work (as a phone, it is a great PDA). I haven't gotten a call back the last 2 times I have rung up. I am tempted to go and stand in the shop until they sort this out, and they bloody well better not charge me for this week either.
I think I need to take the dog for a walk and warm up a bit. Exercise is good that way and it doesn't increase the gas bill. Plus the dog likes it. A win all around. Perhaps I shall eat lunch first.
Then down to Bunnings for tent pole wood and heat-lamp globes. Can someone tell me where I can get 2" diameter pipe to join the pole bits? I am thinking that 2x2, octagonal is about right for these poles.
mrsbrown is that what the Stormhold poles are? Must check and see if I have rod for the spikes. I think I have cringle leather, check that too. Nip into lincraft for heavy duty thread. Do I want to go to Rathdowne remnants and see if they still have that fabric Miss D told me about? Hmmm. Decide after lunch.
