Phone porting
I don't think I have ever managed to change telcos with my phone without some problem cropping up. Last time I ported to Telstra they conflated my account with some business I never heard of and said that the phone had been cancelled. I have had all sorts of problems getting the internet to work on my touch Diamond since I did keep trying to use it on networks that didn't have the instructions (so that was partly my fault)
However, I think this one is taking the cake. It has been a week since I got my new HTC Desire. It is a lovely gadget. Wi- fi internet works perfectly. I like it a lot. I will like it a lot more when Telstra find their brain, get their thumb out and actually port my number over so it is a phone as well as a PDA. I am getting a bit fed up with carrying 2 phones, expecting the shift to happen any time. (At least the old one still works. I would be a lot more angry if the old one had stopped leaving me in limbo.) The long weekend was an excuse that worked until Wednesday, but it is getting very old. "'It can take up to 24hours" should not mean more than a week!!!
