Then again I'm hardly an authority, because I don't think my Who-watching has been very conventional. I put off watching New Who for almost six months because I don't torrent, and reliable download links or streaming sites were hard to find (I am a big internet wuss). And I didn't become a Whovian until I started watching the classic series, so before a friend made me try it I didn't actually feel the urge or need to find it.
When I did, I either watched them at a friend's place or bought recommended serials on DVD. I live in Sweden; they're not the easiest (or cheapest) to come by here (they still haven't restocked the Silurian boxset since I bought it a year ( ... )

And I'm that much of a snob too. Tbh, while I still like New Who, I really feel a lot of it pales in comparison to Classic. I just find myself much more drawn to the old series, the pacing, characterization, how it sometimes feels oddly less sexist in places. Having seen Every Episode Ever Made (notwithstanding the missing episodes I can't see, but have at least been able to listen to with pictures) going back and watching New episodes now feels sometimes a little bit too whoosh-whoosh-run-run-run-explode-explode-feelings The End for me to get invested. I zone out when there's too much epic action happening all at once in a story. I can't pay attention through that stuff. I like cliffhangers. Some of the really good ones I'll still sort of leap to the edge of my seat and shout BUT WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT at my television even though I'm going to watch the next episode straight away anyway ( ... )
