I'm fairly new to the homemade pad thing. A few months ago I ordered some PUL and made a bunch. I don't use them for periods, but as everyday pantyliners, which I need if I don't want to wash my pants (if you're English, trousers) every day. How do you organize your menstrual pads to tell them apart - which ones are for medium flow, heavy flow, light, etc.?  Or do you mark them in some way?  My pad organizer is basically just a box with my pads ( Read more... )

I am in the midst of creating a little post partum kit for my older sister and her first baby. So far I have made 8 overnight/post partum pads, 10 regular pads, and 7 pantyliners. I made some cloth pads and they weren't absorbant enough, I think because they only had 6 layers of tshirt material. I was thinking instead of making new pads for my next period to sew layers on to the old ones. What would be more absorbent: and a layer of towel or like 3 layers of tshirt? Thanks.
