regular cloth pads

hello there

i have recently filled up a 20ltr stacking box with overnight cloth pads, only to find that the 20ltr stacking box that hold my regular cloth pads is looking rather bare D: so i thought i'd better fix that, anywho the reason i'm writing this post is because i'm wondering how many layers of towelling you would recommend for the core if there is no waterproofing? thanks.
