Swindle cried out to his partner, when suddenly, he was hit by a surge of machinegun fire, knocking him down to the deck as well.

The source? Four large, metallic birds, with weapons built into their bodies and with tails that ended in three pronged claws.

Analysis of them with a D-Comm? Would wield no results.

But they let out a loud screech and dove down, attempting to rock the Halberd with a barrage of fire from the guns hidden in their beaks.

"DRILL MISSILES!"

From the deck of the Halberd, one Digimon stood to protect his home - Mazinmon, launching a hail of missiles at his opponents. However, there was something wrong with him: Mazinmon was his Perfect form. Why did he evolve straight to this from Hagurumon? Did something go wrong when he was reborn?

He shoved those questions out of his mind as he moved to cover himself from the attacks.

"Geh... what the heck ARE these things?! I've never seen 'em before!" Mazinmon shouted

When Suzaku and Lancelot, evolved into Grademon, materialized from the lightpost, there had already been much death to be had. Digi-Eggs littered the ground on both sides. The coalition forces fortunate enough to have survived the initial assault had pulled back to try and fortify themselves before pushing forward.

This, however, was only what Suzaku caught in the first few seconds after appearing. In the next moment, attacks rained down at them. Both blades drawn, Lancelot did a somersault backwards to avoid the strikes, landing near the coalition forces.

Suzaku held tight to his partner's shoulder.

This... was definitely war. A sight he knew far too well.

Still, for all of that... he at least hoped that experience would serve him well here.

Mega waited as the first wave entered Tetha, his Elemental Cannon equipped and set to water torrent mode instead of his usual buster. The water was less likely to do any permanent damage then plasma fire. Then, taking a calming breath, he and Gaomon entered Tetha. They were immediately met with enemy fire but charged forward anyway, Mega drenching anyone in their way as Gaomon used his Speed Bash to rush their opponents.

They didn't want to beat them so much as get past, but it soon became apparent that they'd have to give up the plan to use their small size to dodge through the lines for more firepower. Gaomon evolved into Gaogamon and Mega leaped on, this time using the combination of his water torrent and Gaogamon's Spiral Blow to create whirlpools. It looked like they'd have to claim the lightpost before being able to move on to help the injured.

What Mega was trying to do was obvious to Suzaku, as he watched. It was, however, seemingly unexpected by the Tetha forces. Still... while he may have been just trying to push past them without hurting anyone severely, the piles of Digi-Eggs littering the ground said that was going to be a difficult thing to follow through on

It was difficult, but that didn't mean Mega was taking the easy way out. He kept at his tactic of bowling over digimon and knocking them away from the battle while doing as little lasting damage as he could. They might not have been human, but they were still living beings and couldn't be put back together like the robots he was use to fighting.

Gaogamon was more willing to take out Tetha's forces, but he'd play by Mega'a rules. The digimon did, however, take advantage of all the digimon focusing on Lancelot and charged them, swiping at them with his claws and flinging them around.

Sadly this caused Mega to take his eyes off the sky and left an opening for an Aquilamon to swoop in and knock Mega off Gaogamon with a well aimed Blast Laser. Tumbling to the ground, he was quickly overwhelmed. With no choice left, Mega switched over to his buster and freed himself with some well placed plasma shots.

Cassiopia Grille

CRASH!

A pair of Peckmon were flung through the front window of the Cassiopia Grille landing outside among shards of broken glass with a bounce and a roll. They were on their feet in a heartbeat.

"We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone." Called Stormy as she stepped through the window.

Pegasmon clopped out through the main door and pawed the sidewalk dangerously, "Especially people we just plain don't like." He added in an attempt at talking tough.

Stormy brought up her element canon once again and aimed for the one on her left. "Now how about you two leave before we give you some original recipe butt whupping to go?"

Odd may have been against violence in general, and usually was against the idea of Stormy going off in to some major battle even with a partner, but he sure as hell wasn't against her playing bouncer amongst her other duties. She was good at it, and certainly knew how to do with with flair.

Which is exactly why he hadn't even moved from behind the counter, even though the window had broken, just watching Stormy and her Pegasmon with a smirk, Arthur on his shoulder with just about the same expression.

"She'll do it, too."

The Peckmon looked at each other and before they turned back to face Stormy and Pegasmon they whipped out a series of razor sharp feather blades flinging them at the duo.

Pegasmon deflected them with his armored head and rushed forward forcing the first Peckmon to dodge and dance around to avoid being trampled. Stormy fired off a series of shots to blast away the blades ducking out of the way at the last minute as two of them zipped past her burying themselves in the wall behind her.

"That's it!" She declared and began blasting water ball cannon blasts at the bird who was racing about making it hard to hit him.

Downtown Tetha

Not everyone was fighting for a cause in this war, some were simply taking advantage of a bad situation.

March didn't usually lower himself to demolition work. He was an assassin first and foremost but a job was a job these days and with Hatter gone into hiding this was more fun then sitting around doing nothing.

The anonymous caller had wired him a significant amount of bits to destroy some restaurants in down town Tetha so March walked down the street casually lobbing grenades trough entrance ways and open windows. He would stop every so often and hose down the front of the building with a flame thrower cackling psychotically at the dancing orange fire.

"You really don't have the right sense of style for this," said a voice. "No finesse... you need a good melee weapon, not explosions!"

The voice came from the hollow-sounding suit of armor some distance behind March. It blinked its glowing red eyes.

"Look at all that fire! You can't even enjoy the blood you spill!"

March turned to face the voice mildly annoyed by being distracted in his work.

"And who the fuck are you to be passing out advice?" Inquired the mercenary in a cold dismissive tone.

"Barry!" the suit of armor replied, rather cheerily. "Barry the Chopper!"

Tetha park

Things had gone from bad to worse in a hurry.

As soon as Mayaa and Mr. Tadakichi had heard about the army they rushed to the park to make sure their friends were alright. They'd arrived to find Purdey wounded and hiding in a tree as Chumon defended it against a few very annoyed Kamemon. He would throw as many Cheese bombs as he could at them but he was getting tired and the Kamemon didn't seem to have any problem with throwing themselves at the tree to knock him loose.

Mayaa and Mr. Tadakichi rushed in and plowed through the Kamemon scattering them like pins, "Respect your elders!" Roared the dog Digimon evolving into Shisamon as Mayaa knocked into a Kamemon fused with Digisoul sending him rolling backwards.

Unfortunately for them the Kamemon had just been waiting for backup and one gave a whistle. A Shawujinmon sprang forth and didn't even bother taunting them as he opened fire on the tree and it's defenders.
