Concert is over. That feels good. Still angry that I had to look at kids who, despite trying to make jeans look like dress clothes, looked sloppy. I also had to stop at two points in my concert and wait for the audience to get quiet before continuing on. So, I get an email from my boss about how I can not require my students to wear dress clothes to their concert. He goes on to explain that some of our parents can't afford them etc etc so on and so forth... but... I can't even state anywhere that they dress up. ... sorry... just finished a kick ass concert with LOTS of Sondheim so I had to use lyrics in my title.  The concert last night was EXCELLENT!  There was a really large crowd for any concert that isn't Christian Rock or Country.  And the audience REALLY enjoyed the show... including our rendition of "The Internet is for Porn".  No one walked out ( Read more... )
