With the school year over and Summer school not yet in session, Parakarry had more free time so he decided to take a walk before going to the post office.

He passed by a crowd, of several different races native to the Mushroom Kingdom. Parakarry didn't recognize anyone in specific until he noticed one individual in a red hat and overalls.

"Wait...It couldn't be." He tilted his glasses and was soon surprised.

"M..MARIO!?"

Mario looked up from the paper when he heard his name was being called, and was greeted by none other than his old buddy, Parakarry. He hadn't spoke to him in a while, and it was a nice surprise to see him in the city. A smile came upon Mario's face as he began to walk over to the paratroopa.

"Parakarry, how-a are you?"

"Mario!" Parakarry cried out joyfully as he floated over to the approaching plumber. "It's been a few years, hasn't it? How have you been?"

Naval was over at the docks in a regular visit to get some sun and sea air. When she first arrived what seemed like eons ago, she would watch each boat come in and see if Kamek would be one of the passengers coming out. That was never the case.

She almost never pays attention to the boats anymore, but this was one of those times the glanced in that direction and that was when she saw...

That was Mario, right?

Seriously, she never had eyes as a piranha plant so how could she tell what he looked like back when he was a baby? But she knew (or at least was told) of Mario being decked in red, having a funky cap and donning quite the mustache!

"Damn he looks fat," she thought aloud!

Mario didn't notice from the noise of the crowd and what not that she had called him fat. I mean, he wasn't even fat, he was husky at best anyway. And was incredibly physically fit. Gawd people only notice the BAD in people. Anyway, Mario notices her and decided she might be a good person to ask directions to. He walks over to her, with the map in his hand. He could always use the map, sure, but maybe she might tell him a bus that could take him there quicker or something?

"Um, excuse me," He started. "I'ma trying to find the Starbean Cafe? Would you happen to-a know the best way to get there?" He said as politely as possible. It's best to be polite so people don't feel as though you're wasting their time.

Daisy happened to be walking by at the moment. She'd been exploring Diamond City for the first time, and so far, she liked what she saw! It was so busy, and bustling with so many kinds of people! The shopping looked excellent, and so did the entertainment: she even passed by Club Sugar and Club Spice! Not to mention she caught a view of the Dojo that Venn Jones had spoken of. What a beautiful building!

And now she was passing by the harbor. She looked out at the water. Yes, Diamond City was awesome so far... but...

Daisy frowned. "I miss my friends. I'd give anything to see at least one them."

She then turned her head, and saw the boat that had just docked. Hey, a lot of Mushroom Kingdom residents! Wow! Now this would start to feel more like home. But wait--

A familiar red cap. A bushy mustache. Could it be?

Daisy's eyes widened. It was!

She squealed in glee and immediately ran over.

"MARIO! MARIO! IT'S ME, DAISY!"

Mario didn't even need to look up to recognize her. He knew right then exactly who this was that was addressing him. Only Daisy would have such an excited 'Hi, I'm Daisy!' voice. Mario looked up from his map and waved at the princess. "Daisy! It'sa so nice to see you here!" Mario said as he waved. Hmm, was she here on vacation too, or did she move here? She had been apart of the same soccer, golf, and karting tourney's as him, but he figured overall she stayed in the Arabasta Kingdom.

((OOC: Arabasta? Don't you mean Sarasaland?))

Daisy skidded to a halt in front of Mario, then grabbed him in a huge hug.

"Mario, you have no idea how happy I am to see you!" she squealed.

She let go of him. "It's so good to see a familiar face in this city! I was getting a bit worried I wouldn't see anyone for a while. I'm kinda living here right now, if you can believe it. But what brings you here?"

((ooc: *Head desk* Yeah, sorry about that. That's what I get for typing stuff up when I'm sleepy!))

Yup, same Daisy! "It'sa nice to see you too, Daisy!" The hug was kind of tight, but he expected that from her rambunctious attitude. I'ma actually on vacation here." He says, figuring that might come as a surprise to her. But, decided he needed to follow up with an explanation because being on a vacation by himself felt kind of wrong... "I-a asked the Princess to at least come along, but she stayed because she had-a too much work to do."

Kumatora is waiting at the bus station, having worked up a sweat after a hard day at work. Her dress, which was once a nice, tidy affair is messed up so much it's hard to tell it's actually the uniform it's supposed to be. Also, she's let her hair go every which way again, making her look close to what she normally looks like.

Of course, it's not like she'd recognize Mario as Mario, but she does notice he stands out well enough. "Yo, ya new 'round here?" she asks, only noticing that he has a vauge resemblance to the guy who runs the town. "Let me guess, your name is...Mario, right?" she asks, noticing the M on his hat.

Mario looked over in her direction when she called out his name and nods at her first question. He wasn't sure who she was but it was always nice to talk to meet new people and stuff. Since she was on the bus station, she would probably know the best streets and stuff. "Yes, I'ma new here." He says in his usual kind of jolly tone. It was pretty clear that he was a nice guy.

"Yes, I'ma Mario." Her knowing him as Mario doesn't really surprise him all that much. A lot-- and I mean A LOT-- of people recognize him as Mario and usually calls him that upon meeting him, so he had grown pretty used to this by now.

"Um, do-a you know the best way to get to the Starbean Cafe?"

Kumatora nods. "Oh, yes, if ya just leave the bus station and take a left..." she says, continuing on with the directions to Starbeans. "I hope that helps. To be honest, I just kinda guessed who you were because there's this Wario guy around here who's like a fatter version of you and he's got a W on his cap, so yeah." she explains. "I don't work for him or anything, but the kid I live with does."

Goombario had seen puzzle books being sold near the harbor a few months ago, and now that he was actually able to write, thanks to being human, he decided to look into that.

A ship had just arrived, and it looked like it came from the Mushroom Kingdom, judging from those who poured out. Every once in a while, Goombario looked up to see who was coming out. There were one or two faces he vaguely remembered, even if he couldn't put a name to them.

At one point, Goombario noticed someone dressed in red and blue, and immediately thought of Mario. It took him three seconds to realize that it was, in fact, Mario.

He quickly paid for the puzzle books, shoved him in a bag, and began running to meet with his hero. "Mario! Mario, hi!" In his rush, he had forgotten that the only hint to his original form was the blue hat.

"Oh, hello!" He waved at the young man who was approaching him. He had no idea that it was Goombario. Sure he had the same hat, but there probably was a lot of people with blue caps so he didn't suspect that it was his old friend. He figured it was probably just a fan of his... Which it was, but he thought it was a fan he didn't know personally.

"It's really great to see you again, man!" Goombario thought for a second, before realizing he just might look a little different. It wasn't as if Mario didn't have about fifty million other fanboys or anything like that. "It's me, Goombario," he added.

"...Boombario?!" Mario said, rather shocked. He didn't know it was Goombario at all.

"It'sa really you? You have-a grown up so much since I seen you last."
