Daisy happened to be walking by at the moment. She'd been exploring Diamond City for the first time, and so far, she liked what she saw! It was so busy, and bustling with so many kinds of people! The shopping looked excellent, and so did the entertainment: she even passed by Club Sugar and Club Spice! Not to mention she caught a view of the Dojo that Venn Jones had spoken of. What a beautiful building!

And now she was passing by the harbor. She looked out at the water. Yes, Diamond City was awesome so far... but...

Daisy frowned. "I miss my friends. I'd give anything to see at least one them."

She then turned her head, and saw the boat that had just docked. Hey, a lot of Mushroom Kingdom residents! Wow! Now this would start to feel more like home. But wait--

A familiar red cap. A bushy mustache. Could it be?

Daisy's eyes widened. It was!

She squealed in glee and immediately ran over.

"MARIO! MARIO! IT'S ME, DAISY!"

Mario didn't even need to look up to recognize her. He knew right then exactly who this was that was addressing him. Only Daisy would have such an excited 'Hi, I'm Daisy!' voice. Mario looked up from his map and waved at the princess. "Daisy! It'sa so nice to see you here!" Mario said as he waved. Hmm, was she here on vacation too, or did she move here? She had been apart of the same soccer, golf, and karting tourney's as him, but he figured overall she stayed in the Arabasta Kingdom.

((OOC: Arabasta? Don't you mean Sarasaland?))

Daisy skidded to a halt in front of Mario, then grabbed him in a huge hug.

"Mario, you have no idea how happy I am to see you!" she squealed.

She let go of him. "It's so good to see a familiar face in this city! I was getting a bit worried I wouldn't see anyone for a while. I'm kinda living here right now, if you can believe it. But what brings you here?"

((ooc: *Head desk* Yeah, sorry about that. That's what I get for typing stuff up when I'm sleepy!))

Yup, same Daisy! "It'sa nice to see you too, Daisy!" The hug was kind of tight, but he expected that from her rambunctious attitude. I'ma actually on vacation here." He says, figuring that might come as a surprise to her. But, decided he needed to follow up with an explanation because being on a vacation by himself felt kind of wrong... "I-a asked the Princess to at least come along, but she stayed because she had-a too much work to do."

"Vacation, huh? Well, I'll be honest-- my living here is more of a vacation, too," said Daisy. "My dad and I are having problems, so..."

She coughed. "Anyway. I'm sorry Peach didn't accompany you. I would have loved to have seen her, too!"

Meanwhile, Daisy was giggling inside. Poor Mario! I know how much you would have loved to spend time with Peach. You can't fool me!

He was pretty sad to hear they were having some problems. Since Daisy changed the subject so quickly, he figured she probably wouldn't want to talk about it so he didn't push any further on the matter.

"You and I-a both, Daisy.."

Daisy frowned. Oh dear... looks like I was right. But suddenly I don't feel so satisfied in knowing this...

"Well... at least we can keep each other company!" she said with a smile. "Say, where are you staying at? I can give you my address and number so you can contact me anytime!"

"Um," Mario actually hadn't hadn't thought about where he'd live. He was planning to just stay in a hotel really.

"I-a actually, haven't thought that through yet... I'lla probably stay at a hotel."

"Oh, you haven't made any reservations anywhere yet?" Daisy asked. "Well, wherever you decide to go, I can always lend you cash to help pay for your room, if need be. I'd offer to let you stay with me, but I've already got two people coming in as temporary roommates. Their names are Banjo and Kazooie. I haven't met them in person yet, to be honest, but they said they can't find their way home! Isn't that terrible? I just had to take them in!"

"Oh no, I couldn'ta ask you to do that anyway Daisy. I'lla be fine." He says with a smile. It was nice of Daisy to offer, but he couldn't impose on a friend.

"Banjo and Kazooie huh?" He says with a pondering look on his face. Had he heard of them before? "That wassa very nice of you, and I'ma sure they're lucky to have you as a landlord, Daisy."

"Well, I'm not so much as their landlord as I am a hostess," said Daisy. "I consider them my guests, too. I intend to help them get home, so they won't be around forever."

She raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you don't want my help, Mario? You think you'll be okay in this city? I mean, you've been in worse places, but... you know, I'm just trying to be helpful."

"It'sa okay Daisy." Mario says with a reassuring smile. "I brought some coin from home with me, So I'lla be okay." He said not trying to sound too ungrateful. He really does appreciate her help, but he couldn't impose on a friend who's already taking care of two people. Even if he didn't bring money with him.

Had Daisy known Mario had no money, she would have railed into him for lying-- out of pure concern and worry, of course.

"Well, okay," she said, "if you insist. But if you need anything... oh, I should probably give you my contact info. Hang on."

She reached into her purse and pulled out a notepad and pen. She scribbled down her address and phone number, then tore out the page and handed it to Mario. "At least take this," she said.

She paused. "By the way... how's Luigi doing?"

[ooc: Oh God, I worded that sooo wrong. I meant that even if he DID come here with no money, he still wouldn't impose on her. Not that he lied, I'm sorry ^_^;;]

He nodded. "Thank you-a, Daisy. If I ever run into trouble, you'll be the first I call." he said.

"He'sa doing fine. He's back home looking after things for me."

((OOC: That's okay. ^_^))

"You're welcome! And anytime!" said Daisy.

"Ah, glad to know he's keeping himself busy."

Maybe even too busy to visit, she thought sadly. Oh, well...

"Well, I'd better be going," she said. "I hate to cut things short, but I've been walking all over the city today, and to be quite frank, I'm pooped. I need to get home and rest my feet. But I'll see you around, okay?"

He nodded. He could understand that completely. especially since how often he would have to run across different worlds to save the Princess.

"Sure-a Daisy, sure. I'lla see you around."
