Father's Day was yesterday, which signals the end of Holiday Row, which starts annually on March 26th with my Mom's birthday and ends with Father's Day. In those three months are all of my Mom's, Dad's, Jeff's and Jessica's birthdays, as well as Mother's Day and Father's Day. Traditionally, Jeff, Jessica and I go in together on gifts. All month it's been in the low 70s (and cooler). Today it's 70. Looking at the 10 day forecast on Weather.com and it's gonna be more of the same. Cool and cloudy. IT'S FREAKING JUNE! Come on. Lately i've been getting killed while playing some of the best poker i've ever played. Today, I played fairly mediocrely and won $600. Just ran really well, hit whatever I needed almost every time. this new game is not going so well thus far. today continued a 2.5 month long stretch of running very poorly. it may just be coincidence, but last march-may i went on a massive downswing before recovering in late may and kicking ass in june and july. hopefully the same will happen this year ( Read more... )

when i went to vegas, i played a pretty standard game. i resolved when i went out there to keep things simple. the results were not terrible, up about 3k over the two months i was there. 3k over two months is nothing to be proud of, but since i played so sparingly in march it's not quite as bad as it seems. nonetheless, with each passing day i ( Read more... )
