Mostly packed. Still recharging cell phone, camera, and mp3-player, and toiletries are still in the bathroom, but aside from that, I'm pretty much done. How do I decide what to take with me and what to leave behind for six weeks?

That mp3 player will be home for the time abroad. I'll depend on it. I'll need it to stay sane. 2 GB is not enough. Not when I have to leave behind everything else that is home and safe and familiar.
