Luke Schenn has officially been told that he will be staying in the NHL. I'm thrilled at this opportunity for him, but not-so-thrilled about what coach Ron Wilson had to say about possibly being released for the world juniors.

Congratulations to Drew Doughty on his first NHL goal tonight!

The Oilers keep winning and I'm not complaining. I was sure we were out after the first period but we found a way to win- big ups to Ethan Moreau, Fernando Pisani, and Andrew Cogliano, with a heaping side of Steve MacIntyre for giving us the jump.

My favorite little Swede Linus Omark has now played 12 games for Lulea HF in the Swedish Elite League. He's third in team scoring with 5-3-8 and a +1 rating ( Read more... )

Nikita Filatov got called up by the Columbus Blue Jackets today. Sooner than expected, yes. Jared Boll was put on the IR so Nikita got the call and I'm stoked to see him play. He has two goals through two games for the Syracuse Crunch.

I just keep getting sicker and sicker and fucking sicker at the thought that Alexei's death probably could have been prevented. The reports vary from bad to disgustingly terrible to obvious lies about how the situation was handled.
