...we're back!

Two days down, a lot more to go!

In other news, I finally finished Tilly's hoodie (well, I need to block it and sew a button on, but hey, who's counting!).

Now, to finish that other scarf that has been sitting on my needles for too long...

The weather yesterday and today has been so lovely; I have spent virtually all day yesterday and all day today outside...

And Tuesday, when I'm taking 40 children to the cricket, it's forecast thunderstorms...grrrr...that's not a very good adventure! :(

...and we've broken up for two weeks! Yay! And I'm going back to see my family on Wednesday for a week or so! Yay! And I got my maths results! Yay!

So. Yay.

...half term was so great. Why do we have to go to work? Why can't everything be free and children could just learn by osmosis or something...

I am knitting such a pretty scarf. That is what I want to be doing now...

Boo-hoo.

With back-to-school looming in the background and maths exams looming in the foreground (though I suspect that should be the reverse, since school starts next week and the exams aren't until October), I find myself wishing I had a bit more time...needed a bit less sleep...had a bit more money...

...just like everyone else...

Well, I am mostly up-to-date with work! (Yay!) I would like to spend my half-term reading, knitting and doing maths. If I try really hard, I bet I can manage that! :)

Just doing a bit of marking now, then maybe some maths...really I should shower and go to bed.

We'll see.

Well, I know I am seriously naughty! I haven't updated (if you can call it that!) since my sister's birthday and that was 6 weeks ago!
ETA: Except for a tiny one-liner, which doesn't count, of course!

So, I went to the Berkshire Choral Festival once again and had a great time. Next year, we'll be in Canterbury, which should be a nice change ( Read more... )

Well, we have 8 days of school left, when the rest of the northern hemisphere is (probably) weeks into their summer holidays. Three days and counting to the production: Scheherazade, which should be pretty good. I so need help.

It's dress up as a book character at work (primary school-I teach Year 6: 10-11 year-olds) tomorrow, and I need inspiration. I have only normal clothes. Nothing particularly dressy or anything.

Any ideas? (Serious or not, I'm desperate!)

My school has entered the "Any Dream Will Do" on BBC to find a choir. Won't you please go here and vote 5 coats for The Vineyard! (The whole site is loading very slowly, due to heavy traffic, but please persevere!)
