In other news, I finally finished Tilly's hoodie (well, I need to block it and sew a button on, but hey, who's counting!).

Now, to finish that other scarf that has been sitting on my needles for too long...

What a joy half-term is. I am starting to feel like I don't really want to do any more maths courses. I think I might be maths-ed out! My friend, Sue, is also doing an extra one, but the one she is doing is MUCH easier. (We each already did the one the other is doing.) ...I should be doing something more productive than lazing around, contemplating work, but knowing I'm going to knit. I want a high-paid, no overtime job. Yes, I do.

Well, I went back to the knitting store again yesterday...shame on me. Remarkably, though, I didn't seem to spend nearly as much money as I thought I would. Got yummy yarn, though, including a beading project with gorgeous gray yarn and slightly iridescent beads...mmmm ( Read more... )

After a ridiculously long journey back to Florida (18:00ish train to Manchester two days after my original flight was cancelled, arrived at 23:00, slept at really crappy hotel for 6 hours, shuttle to airport, flight to Paris, flight to JFK delayed so much that I missed my connection from LaGuardia - yes, that's right: LaGuardia - slept at Uncle ( Read more... )

I am pleased to be sorting through my knitting, though I doubt I will ever finish all of these projects! It's nice to look back and remember where I got the yarn from, though...shame I can't remember them all!

On another note, this is just too, too cute. Yes, I'm a geek.

...starts on Monday. I still have quite a lot of "clearing up" to do with the old job...starting with writing 20 reports...hmmm...wonder how long that will take me if I just sit down to do it all at once! Ha. As if.

And the scarf is still unfinished...useless.

...the weekend is here and I can relax...just a little...and maybe I'll finish knitting that scarf...
