Friday Focus

I caught the bus into town today to post off those clothing items that did not fit me. I also picked up an Amazon item (Robert Wyatt EPs box set CD) from the Nisa Local convenience store.

I then headed to my local pub for a meal. Being Friday, I had fish and chips with peas which was washed down with Bredog Elvis Juice. It was delicious. The fish was huge and very filling.

I had a phone call from Georgina Craigs today. I called her the previous day and left a message on her phone. I thought it was time to repair the bridge between us. We had fallen out some years ago as friends, and the reason is now back in the mists of time and best forgotten, and hence a new chapter is now open. I was about to pop into Wetherspoons, so the call was shorter than iwnated it to be, so I call back tonight after six. Like I said to her, life is too short to bear grudges, and as she said it was great to hear me again.

I suggested I would see her on my next excursion to Brighton. I have penciled the trip into the end of this month or the beginning of the next month, but it depends what events I want to see at the Faversham Litery festival in Febraury as well.

Her cat, Saxby, passed away last year, but now she has a new one, which is good news. I look forward to seeing the kitty.

Georgina lives in Seaford and is a fellow mystery shopper as well. Hence, we can talk shop, which would go over the heads of most people.

It is another sunny day, but icily cold, at just round 3 degrees Centigrade, and will plummet to -2C this evening.

I did not achieve the hundred books read for last year , so I am reeling it back to 80 books. I actually achieved 82 books in 2024. I should be able todo the same at least this year.

Well, for now I have a biox set to listen and an LP I bought form Saturnalia in town. That LP is The Best Of The O'Jays, A double vinyl LP but not in a gatefold sleeve and their is slight storage indentation at the bottom left of the sleeve, so although originally it was £26 down to £18 in their sale, and since I pointed out the minor crease on the sleeve, I got the record for £13. The benefits of being a regular customer you see, and at the same price as most new CDs these days.

friends, food, weather, post office, cats, pubs, beer, music
