One of our banks, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, has started a new ad campaign, featuring Toni Collette reading a poem called 'Ode to Can'.

It's a very low key ad, people either love it or hate it - and only shows the logo of the bank at the very end. I'd initially thought it would be a community service ad for - well - I don't know, really. ( Read more... )

Hi all! Yes, the prompt at lj_scribe reeled me in again this week.

Normally, they go for a bit of anything, but they were more specific this week, and asked for a Shakespearian inspired sonnet in iambic pentameter.

This is just a random mind dump post of a poem that sprang to mind this afternoon when I gave the dogs a run in the park behind me.
