There's a new bar stumbling walking distance from our house called The Observatory. Vaguely hipster-victorianesque. The entire time that carwoman and I were there they cycled through Radiohead, The Cure, The Pixies, New Order, and The Smiths. Really good food (typical NW higher-end pub grub for decent prices).
