Mostly Food, some Spelunking

Potluck Thanksgiving 2009. So. Much. Food!

There were five kinds of pie, including the 'Blood Pie' that I brought (They gave blood donors whole marionberry pies Thanksgiving morning.)

The next morning, The Mister and I had a ginormous breakfast to fill our suddenly stretched stomachs.

As of right now, I have made 80 of these guys. That's ten sticks of butter!

For the most part, we avoided all Black Friday Madness, but we did head downtown for the annual tree lighting. It was a lot of waiting around for not much, but we got a few good pictures.

We definitely got our quota of stranger-exposure. We were so packed together in the square that some guy BREATHED ON MY EYEBALL. Bleah. :P

Our favorite part of Black Friday Night was looking out at the city on top of the parking deck.

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to the Ape Caves to monkey around. Little did we know it, but the first Saturday after Thanksgiving is officially DB Cooper Day! Unfortunately, we did not find any abandoned bags of money while exploring.

We're. So. Scared!

The end of the upper caves trail felt like a winter wonderland.

Right now I have a batch of cornbread sausage dressing baking in the oven, with that fifth batch of crescent rolls rising. The Mister made the 101 Cookbooks sparkling ginger cookies featured recently, and we also have cranberry relish resting in the fridge. Our friends are coming over with a turkey and gravy. It's going to be a Do-Over Thanksgiving!
