So, about 200 years ago I used to write this Blog on LJ. I haven't even logged IN to it in months. In fact the last entry I wrote was in November 2009. Ummm yeah. I'm a slacker.

1.  The sun shone.  The birds sang.  I can see tulips poking their heads up in the front garden.  Life is good.

I didn’t do very much, and on reflection I seem to have spent most of this weekend preparing food. I know we have to eat, but good god I’m turning into Jamie Oliver! I love music and I love singing.  Unfortunately I’m not very good at either.  The sum of musical ability as a child was attempting to play the recorder when I was 8 years old.  I don’t think Frere Jacques has ever been the same.

Today - 7th September 2008 - would have been Buddy Holly's 70th birthday.  He has been dead almost 6 times longer than he was alive, yet his music never dies.  He was a pioneer.  A true musical genius who managed to cram a whole lifetime of music into a few short years.
