Cleaned kitchen. Did one book review and one 'stuff' review. Worked on apron. Didn't make it to the bike, which is bad because tomorrow I'm going into town and will almost certainly not get on the bike. Real exciting day. Can't remember any dreams.

Forced myself on to the exercise bike today. Didn't last very long, and had to crank back the tension a LOT to handle it. My legs are already stiffening up; I hate to think what they'll feel like tomorrow ( Read more... )

I started digging patterns and fabric out, all ready to start sewing before the seed starting gets going and takes over the dining table. Then I measured myself, just to see if anything had changed and.... I realized that what I'd suspected was true. Really nasty migraine brought on by a low blood sugar in the early morning hours, so no trip into town. Got a crazy quilt project pieced yesterday, so I got them all sewed down today, once my eyes settled down enough to see the little needle. Waited until the last minute to start making it, of course. Spent several hours sitting at the table sewing. Managed to get four items off the table, although one may come back. I turned a couple of little pieces of fake fur into.... well, whatever you'd call tops of boots that are removable. I put hooks and eyes on the top and bottoms, but I suspect I'll need to put a middle set on, too. Discovered that ( Read more... )

I finally couldn't take it anymore. Despite still feeling like crap, and having lots of other things to do, I broke down and grabbed the sewing machine. All I did was alter a shirt, but it was great to hold thread and needle.

Woke up this morning with the good old neck/shoulder problem- the radial nerve is pinched again and giving me the 'funny bone' pain all day. That did not make me happy ( Read more... )

I do have to wonder why I want to do Victorian costuming when I hate making gathers so very, very much.

Had a day of trouble with the car (not the car's fault; dead battery meaning I left *something* on, although I still haven't figured out what. Had to jump it. Then got to Joann's and when I wanted to leave, couldn't get the key to turn in the ignition lock. Accomplished nothing today but did actually put makeup on and earrings, and went out to fill the gas tank, pick up stuff a Walgrens (replacing the stuff I forgot on the bathroom counter when I left), cruised Goodwill (made it out with slippers, warm hat, a curtain with a hugely deep piece of lace on the bottom, and 3 1/2 yards of crepe backed satin ( Read more... )
