Well my FutureSonics finally died a couple months ago. Not sure I ever did end up writing about them, but they were great. Very warm, very very spacious. Easy to listen to. Good detail, but not the best. A bit too much rolloff on the highs, esp cymbal crashes. Still, for all around listening, you get detail from jazz and classical and enough ( Read more... )

Have had a busy weekend. Second time being on call for work, and was dealing with stuff all of yesterday, whilst at the same time going to the dentist/hygeinist for the first time in several years, then buying groceries, then tidying the house with the wife away. My wife and I spent last week in Normandy, several days in the lower part, and the last weekend in the upper part. In brief: it was relaxing. I wonder how telling it is that it felt more like the way things should be rather than a break, but in hindsight, it was definitely a break. We haven't had a holiday like that in a while.
