Yesterday we went to see the fabulous Priscilla Queen Of The Desert at the Palace Theatre in London. What an amazing show! From singing (suspended!) Divas, to a trio of drag queens and a bus named Priscilla, this musical was heart-warming and hand-clapping from start to finish. We have been quite busy recently, what with one thing and another, but last weekend we went to see Love Never Dies. Having loved Phantom, we hoped this new musical would live up to the hype, and we weren't disappointed.

I have spent two successive Saturday afternoons doing one of my favourite things - going to the theatre. Last weekend I saw All The Fun Of The Fair at the Garrick Theatre on Charing Cross Road. This musical is based on songs by, and stars, David Essex. David and I have come on a long journey together since 1972, and I remain a fan to this day.

Last Thursday I ventured up to the Herbert Art Gallery in Coventry for a free lunchtime "In Conversation" session with Sir Antony Sher and the artist David Troughton. The discussion took place in The Studio at the Gallery, where we were surrounded by Sir Antony's art.

As his "Dad" was away on the 20th, the dog got a belated present for his birthday at the weekend - one of those fabulous twisted "rope" toys that can be chewed, hurled around, and generally shaken to death. It's a very big toy, and the dog straddles it and rips it as if it's a kill. It's so funny to watch him play.

Last night my husband and I attended the launch of Sir Antony Sher's exhibition (The Audience) at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry.
