There's nothing worse than a picky eater...

... and I never thought our dog would be a picky eater! He was by far the most rotund puppy in the litter, the one who ate so much that he made himself sick. He has, though, grown into a "gastronaut", as Keith Floyd would have phrased it - willing to try most things, but sticking firmly to what he likes: fish, meat, veg (but not mushrooms or celery), cheese... and whatever we're eating that takes his fancy (especially toast)!

A couple of weeks ago, though, for whatever reason, my boy went "off" meat. Now, I should say that this was Tesco's Healthy Living Extra Lean Steak Mince (less than 5% fat!) lovingly cooked with veg, and frozen into individual portions. He was still eating fish (cod), and was also looking round for anything else going spare, so he clearly wasn't ill. In desperation, I bought some tinned dog food, mixed it with some biscuit - and he just wolfed it down. So much for my careful feeding intentions!

So, Gatsby now has a few cornflakes for breakfast, his main meal at tea time, and a fish finger later in the evening. Yes, a fish finger! The breeder said that they LOVE fish fingers (and I know from experience that Dandies have a weakness for fish in general - our beautiful Bea loved fish too), so we gave him one as a puppy... and never stopped!

And after all that food, some quality playtime and a nice walk, there's nothing left to do but.....
