Nightshift 21: M51 - M60 Hallway
Barret certainly felt horrible, and it took him several minutes to get his bearings before bothering to move out into the hallway. He'd finished off his supper with no real enthusiasm to have his stomach satiated. The large man actually did regret his actions toward Yuffie. As awkward as she'd made him feel, she didn't deserve that little explosion in the Sun room. Even though she was trying to probe information out of him to his true plans for the evening, she still had shown a concern not typical of the young ninja.
When the locks clicked open for the night, he attempted to banish those ill thoughts to the back of his mind and try for a kinder approach toward the one he was to meet. When he'd asked to be returned to his room, he tried to get the nurse to give him a tour, but she promptly rejected his request. He'd been in enough trouble and felt he needed his own space to calm down completely. What he needed was to shove his fist in her face, but bit back that action and comment.
He wheeled his chair out into the hall, peering south down the empty space with his flashlight in hand and radio in his lap. Taking in a deep breath, he began his trek through the institute to find F1. He knew well enough he was within the male corridors, and no female rooms lie north. South seemed to be the answer.
