Nightshift 21: M1 - M10 Hallway
With long speeches from both the man behind the intercom and the one in charge of the radio ringing in his ears, Roy placed himself outside of his door to wait. His arms were crossed slightly above his stomach and his legs were crossed at the ankle.
Hughes had promised to accompany him, so he was certain his friend would step out of his room before long. He hoped that Heiderich would make his way over quickly. He hadn't found out the boy's room number, so he had no idea how far he had to travel. He could only wait so long, though, so he hoped that for his own sake Heiderich was quick.
It's not like he wanted to ditch the boy, but the fact that he'd accomplished next to nothing in the past few days was getting to him. He hated feeling trapped, but the small discoveries made at night eased up on that sensation slightly. At the moment, he felt suffocated and needed to create some breathing room.
At least wandering the halls with Hughes would bring back a familiarity to his nights. Come to think of it, what had Havoc been up to? He certainly wouldn't mind his subordinate coming with as well. And there was Hawkeye, of course, but they'd missed each other during the day...
