Nightshift 21: M51 - M60 Hallway

Jan 26, 2007 13:23

Barret certainly felt horrible, and it took him several minutes to get his bearings before bothering to move out into the hallway. He'd finished off his supper with no real enthusiasm to have his stomach satiated. The large man actually did regret his actions toward Yuffie. As awkward as she'd made him feel, she didn't deserve that little ( Read more... )

Fox had taken a quick nap rather than go to the music room, so he would be more alert during the night-shift. He was quite concerned, naturally, when the intercom announced that Hans Davis had been taken for... something. An Experiment...

It made him angry, Fox, River, and now Snake. Why did they have to tamper with people? And from the sounds of it, this was a regular occurrence. That realization was both terrifying and angering.

Gray Fox decided to take his flash-light and radio with him, on the off chance that they would be useful. He was rewarded when the radio confirmed his suspicions, but he was not at all comforted.

He didn't know where Snake was, but Otacon should probably be nearby. The way Snake had talked about Otacon... well, since Snake was busy, someone would have to go babysit the engineer.

Alfons had no idea that the night shift took so much... chatting... to get done. From the intercom, from the radio, from all sides; it was ludicrous! The two men were going at it like a pair of roosters, and Alfons did not particular care to think of what, metaphorically, the patients were to be considered.

But for now? He needed to go to M1 as quickly as he possibly could. Taking flashlight and journal and pen in hand, he walked out the door and headed out on his way. He was not going to be left behind again!

He'd left his food untouched. The thought of eating made his stomach feel like lead no matter how little he'd eaten at lunch or breakfast. His meeting with Schuldig hadn't helped matters. Practically the last person in the world he'd ever wanted to see again, and that was the one person from his world who ended up here ( ... )

Rufus had brooded while eating dinner, not tasting the food but not about to take chances with being weak due to something as foolish as starving himself. When the door unlocked, Rufus ran a hand through his hair and pushed aside the tray. Thanks to Reno last night, he was without a flashlight, the other one having been blown apart by the bullet. About the best he could do tonight were pens for defense. Picking up the fork from his tray along with the knife, he figured those couldn’t hurt and might be better ( ... )

Takaya had eaten his dinner quickly, still irritated over the appearance of Naoe. Well, he'd told him what he knew, whatever. It's up to him what he does now, he thought. looking up when he heard the doors click.

This time, he dug around his room. Flashlight, take that. Notebook? Fuck that. Pens? He thought about that, then took two. Better than nothing he guessed.

Reaching up to lightly touch the bruise that covered his side, Takaya scowled and walked out, head held high, determined to at least learn something tonight.
