He wasn't about to take any chances, though, and hollowfied, his energy exploding and increasing the pressure in the immediate area.
"I'm ready." was all he uttered, before the guards rounded the corner, having been alerted by his aura. He was gone in a flash, deftly cutting through the ranks of men before they could use their shields or grenades.

As his team of friends and allies raced down the hall towards the DRT control room, he quickly found out why...whatever was beyond the soldiers in their path sounded huge, just from the noises echoing within the room ( ... )

When they all burst into the control room, Negi was amazed by how big it was. Before he could really appreciate the size however, the guards were on top of them.
Negi was mainly relying on his barrier spell to take care of the gas since it worked nicely at dispelling the gas completely. He was pretty good about holding the spell for long periods and using other spells at the same time. Negi was right behind Sora, using his magic to boost his fighting speed and strength and bowling over most of the guards like they were nothing. When he could, he would also cast the disarm spell, sending weapons, bombs, and gear flying from the guards.

Pixie paused a moment, she brought the cavalry directly into the main battlefield, what a time saver! Before taking off toward one of the guards, knife drawn. "Don't break the fancy computers!" Most people would figure that goes without saying, however Pixie would like that to be clear before anyone starts using attacks too large for the room.

It was easy for him to notice the bafflement and shock on the soldier's faces when fighters appeared in the opposite direction. "Time's up!" He charged forward and swung hard, knocking a line of unready guards to the floor. As a more distant guard began to reach into a pouch in his vest, Riku lowered his Keyblade and raised his left hand. "I don't think so!" A few blasts of his Dark Firaga sent the poor soldier and two of his nearby playmates flying across the room.
Riku heard a few guns cock. And smiled. The few rounds they managed to fire before Testament slammed into them were made worthless by his charmed bracelet. This was a lot different than Heartless. But the challenge was thrillingAnd then the cavalry arrived. Negi and his best friend came though the door in spectacular fashion. Riku dashed for his comrade. "Sora ( ... )

But while that was all well and good there were far more immediate matters that needed his attention, blades flashing into his hands. The guards might scoff at them, but he was not yet willing to risk his lightnings in a place so close to delicate equipment.
Instead, he merely smiled as the guards begin to train their guns on him... and vanished in a blur of blackness, only to reappear behind them, blades already swinging at their (comparatively) unprotected backs, and rather neatly taking them out of the fight.

He saw Pixie bring in even more of the cavalry behind them, inside the computer room itself. The guards were distracted by this new wave of Manhattanites, allowing him and the others to push into the DRT room. Sora had guessed right...the room was huge. He was actually glad to get the warning from Pixie, as otherwise he might've been caught up in fighting and smashed something accidentally.
In the melee, he actually caught sight of Xemnas, using his blades and teleportation powers to take out another round of guards. Sora managed something like a grin...he never thought he'd actually be fighting alongside Xemnas, even in this world. Time to show him as well as these Tagruato guys what they could do ( ... )

Until she got a look at the "fancy computers" and realized they lined several walls and took up a good deal of floor. Damn. She made her way towards a wall, finding a position with more protection than the open floor and laying down cover fire, being careful of her aim and the calibration of the Tetragrammation gun.
She aimed, fired, and watched for a split second of utter shock as the shot easily bored a neat hole through a guard's shield and kevlar. Damn she was still not used to this gun-
And then she snapped back to reality and ducked back behind her cover, taking out the stragglers the other combatants missed and trying not to be in too much awe of Sora and Riku's teamwork.

It was after a few moments that he realized that this room was actually big enough to fly in. Negi hopped onto his staff and took to the air, already thinking of an idea. It would be hard to fire off light arrows if he was on the ground as it risked hitting a computer.
However, from the air he could easily rain them down on the guards.
Light began to gather in Negi's hand as he chanted from the air and very few guards seemed to have realize that there was an attack coming from this direction. Light rained down from the heavens in a concentrated attack, striking the guards from a position they couldn't defend from.

Even the guards of Tagruato, hardened men and women who had ruthlessly imprisoned some of the most powerful beings in the multiverse for almost a year, had to just pause and stare at the sheer absurdity of that sight.
And when they did, Donald Duck hit them with a lightning bolt.

In passing Riku saw the power of Rosette’s weapon. Now THAT’S a gun. Negi’s attacks were a perfect balance between magic and physical fighting. It was a brilliant way of making sure he didn’t exhaust either of his skills. Donald and Goofy were in rare form. And the fact that Donald was not only conscious, but making short work of their enemies made even Riku smile.
Though Xemnas being around made it a guarded smile. Even if they fought together, he still kept an eye on him. It would be easy to destroy all his enemies when this battle was done. The Nobody was as fast as ever and still ever as powerful ( ... )

Sora grabbed back Ultimaweapon as Riku took back Way to the Dawn, and bumped fists with him in a gesture of triumph. Man, did it feel good to be fighting like this again!
As if all that wasn't enough, the moment they finished the attack (one that usually forced Sora to pause for air for a second), Kang came by them and cast a haste spell over their entire group. While Sora himself never used haste spells, he could instantly recognize it...he felt lighter, faster, as if his feet barely needed to touch the ground for him to get anywhere. "Thanks!" he called back to the draconian, a wide grin on his face.
Everyone ( ... )

He almost felt sorry for these guards, but they'd surely known what they'd been getting themselves into. But even if they didn't, they'd attacked, and that didn't go unnoticed, just as it wouldn't go unpunished. They had initiated a war, and that's what they'd gotten. They'd overestimated their ability to keep their "subjects" in line, and they were going to pay for it.
