Fletcher was worried. He was still awake even though it was approaching three in the morning; time didn't matter quite so much anymore. And he was together with his father, but he hadn't spoken to Russel for a whole day. So now the small boy was sitting, curled up on a cot in the cell he and Nash were resting in, watching his father pace the length of the room.

They'd come so far. They were going to be okay, all of them. They'd take control of the ship and that DRT machine also. They were finally going to go home.

Russel made his way through the halls. All the new arrivals via various means gave him enough inspiration to see if Nash and Fletcher were among them. Soon enough, he found exactly who he was looking for. A smile came across his face as he was reunited with his family. "Dad! Fletcher!" he said, on his way in. The others could note that there was no limp to go with the bullet wound he'd admitted to previously.

But he bypassed Nash, and went straight to Fletcher. "You guys are alright?"

Fletcher's head jerked up when he caught sight of Russel, and a smile broke out on his face. He pushed himself to his feet and instantly latched on to him; it had been too long. He just nodded while Nash answered -- their father's face had a relieved look on it too, almost a smile but not quite.

"We haven't been injured," Nash replied, looking over Russel to make sure he was all right. He didn't seem to be hurt despite what he'd said earlier, so he must have gotten himself to a healer. And Nash wasn't telling the complete truth; it wouldn't be visible under his long sleeves, but Fletcher was wearing a t-shirt, so there was no hiding that now-healing, self-inflicted knife wound on his arm. "How did you make it over here?"

Danny was waiting to be called by the advance group. It was his job to get the non fighters and normal people to the command center once the route had been cleared. It was also his duty to handle any stragglers of the Tagruato who might try a sneak attack, and keep the unarmed safe.

Already in ghost form, he leaned against the wall, anxious to get going, but forcing himself to wait, he wouldn't let any harm come to these people.

COMMUNICATION CENTER tagruato_corp September 22 2009, 04:32:03 UTC

Bobby still had his halberd and was doing very well avoiding guards so far. The guards were probably concentrated in the DRT room, but the communication center was still guarded, as Bobby discovered when he rounded the corner. "Woah!"

Gunshots fired and Bobby ducked back around the wall. "Okay, let's try that again...don't get shot anybody." He could hear footsteps around the corner and he heard the CLACK CLACK CLACK as the smoke bomb was dropped.

He smirked, well that wasn't going to stop him. In fact, Bobby decided to use it to his advantage. He ran into the smoke, screening himself from the guards. He listened for the movements of the guards and struck out with his halberd, sweeping a few guards off their feet.

The smoke started to clear. Giselle had thankfully been too far back to breathe any in. However, there were so many guards...there had to be something she could do. Giselle thought of her friends like Spin and Starr who could make things better by singing.

Maybe she could do that too.

Giselle closed her eyes, if she listened closely she could hear the music rising within her. Giselle stepped forward as the music rose, somehow the speakers in the ship were playing the song.

And was that a choir in the background?

"Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?"

Giselle continued walking forward, dancing to her own song. At first it looked like the guards were going to shoot her...but their weapons were shaking. No, not shaking...swaying to the music.

"Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream
of what I needGiselle's musical powers were infectious and seemed to be spreading the song and dance to the others ( ... )

Bolt was also among those assisting people without powers to the communication center...although ironically, he was among those same people now. Bolt had spent most of yesterday bemoaning this fact, but now strangely enough, that could be used to his advantage. He was nervous, as nervous as he'd ever been for a mission, but this was just as important as the people with powers taking out the invading ships. And there was no time for hesitation ( ... )

Ichigo had found himself on one of the other ships that day. Apparently his skills were needed to take some sort of device or another out of the enemy's hands. He didn't really care to know much more than that, he had to cut down some more military, and that was all that mattered.

He wasn't about to take any chances, though, and hollowfied, his energy exploding and increasing the pressure in the immediate area.

"I'm ready." was all he uttered, before the guards rounded the corner, having been alerted by his aura. He was gone in a flash, deftly cutting through the ranks of men before they could use their shields or grenades.

This was it. They'd taken control of the ship Sora had woken up on, the Threshold. And the DRT, the computer that could actually help them get home, was on this ship. With Pixie's help, a lot of people had been teleported to the Ultimatum, where Sora understood that they would all have to work together to take control of this thing.

As his team of friends and allies raced down the hall towards the DRT control room, he quickly found out why...whatever was beyond the soldiers in their path sounded huge, just from the noises echoing within the room ( ... )

Negi was glad to see Sora and the others Pixie had brought with her. He wished there was time for a reunion, but now was not it. They could celebrate later once everything was over with.

When they all burst into the control room, Negi was amazed by how big it was. Before he could really appreciate the size however, the guards were on top of them.

Negi was mainly relying on his barrier spell to take care of the gas since it worked nicely at dispelling the gas completely. He was pretty good about holding the spell for long periods and using other spells at the same time. Negi was right behind Sora, using his magic to boost his fighting speed and strength and bowling over most of the guards like they were nothing. When he could, he would also cast the disarm spell, sending weapons, bombs, and gear flying from the guards.

While the former prisoners were indisputably in control of most of the Ultimatum, there remained a bit of resistance around the flight deck, which, naturally, was exactly where Mal needed to go.

This was an important job, and that meant he could only trust one group of people to have his back during it. He'd sent out the word throughout the ships for them to meet him at this location. Now all he could do was make sure his guns were clean and wait.

Everything was quiet in the surrounding area until the sound of booted feet on the hallway broke the silence. A lone figure in a Tagruato uniform came around the corner, casually holding a shotgun in her hand. At least, it appeared to be casual - anyone with a trained eye could see that she handled the weapon like a soldier.

She caught Mal's eye the moment she rounded the corner and swiftly approached him.

"I assume you have a plan, sir," Zoe asked, raising an eyebrow. Not that she expected much other than "shoot, steal, get paid"... minus the "get paid" part. It really would be just like old times then.

Still getting used to the suit Tony had managed to whip up for her, Kaylee followed the others down the hallway. If nothing else, at least the suit would keep her from getting hurt, and she had a handy little power surge if needed...but it made more noise than she really liked. And she'd have to take pieces off to get anything done mechanically, but, for once, she actually felt semi-comfortable walking out into what was most certainly danger.

It would be good to be back in action again, with the crew all semi-together and some big changes to bring down on Tagruato.

"Got any tools we might need," she commented. "Swiped 'em out of the engine room when Tony 'n me were down there."
