Hmm. Seems Tokyoflash is now making their own watches. Check out their new model, the [ 1000100101. ] Though I can't say I'm a fan of the styling, I really like that it shows date/day-of-the-week as well as time, and the method is pretty novel and interesting.

There's a very well written account on Kotaku about the sort of madness surrounding the PS3 launch in Japan. It's very eye-opening and you'll learn some things you most likely never would have expected. For those of you who don't care about video games, you could probably still take something about politics and economics away from reading it.

I had to play with transformation effects in Adobe After Effects. We had to use two or images and manipulate them using rotation, scaling, opacity, and position.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo DriftDefinitely a fun film to watch, even though the melodrama provided a handful of groan-inducing moments. Despite the bombastic nature of its premise, the film (in its first act, at least) exhibits incredible subtlety, especially in its visuals. Big props to the art and camera team.
